Chemical Composition

Nickel (Ni): the content of up to 30% ~ 35%, is one of the main elements in the alloy, the alloy's corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength have an important contribution.

Iron (Fe): content of 39.5% ~ 46%, and nickel together constitute the matrix of the alloy.

Chromium (Cr): content of 19% to 23%, mainly to improve the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of the alloy.

Copper (Cu): content of ≤ 0.75%, some properties of the Incoloy800 alloy have a fine-tuning effect.

Aluminum (Al) and titanium (Ti): content is ≤ 0.15%, the addition of these elements to help improve the creep resistance and high-temperature stability of the alloy.

Excellent performance and characteristics

Corrosion Resistance: Incoloy 800 has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature oxidizing and vulcanizing environments. The combination of chromium and nickel provides excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media.

High-Temperature Performance: Incoloy 800 maintains good mechanical properties and oxidation resistance in high-temperature environments. Its high-temperature strength and creep resistance in the 600-1100°C range make it an ideal material for high-temperature applications.

Mechanical Properties: Incoloy800 alloy has good mechanical properties, including high strength, good toughness, and ductility. This makes it suitable for a variety of molding and machining processes.

These excellent properties of Incoloy 800 alloy stem from its precise chemical compositional ratios and unique microstructure. The element nickel gives it excellent stability and strength in high-temperature environments, enabling Incoloy800 to maintain its structural integrity under extreme conditions and to be less susceptible to deformation or failure. The presence of iron, on the other hand, enhances the alloy's mechanical properties and processability, making it easy to mold it into a variety of complex shapes to meet diverse industrial needs.

The addition of chromium element for Incoloy 800 alloy put on a layer of strong anti-corrosion armor, so that it can resist oxidation, reduction, and a variety of corrosive media erosion, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce maintenance costs. The addition of titanium trace, further enhances the alloy's creep resistance, even in a long period of high-temperature stress, but also to maintain dimensional stability, to avoid safety accidents caused by material creep.

It is these unique performance combinations that make Incoloy 800 shine in the chemical industry's reactors and heat exchangers, the petroleum industry's oil well pipelines and valves, as well as the structural materials of nuclear power reactors and the combustion chambers of aerospace engines, and other key parts. With the advancement of science and technology and the development of industry, the requirements for material performance are increasing, Incoloy800 alloy is also in the continuous research and development and improvement, toward the challenge of higher temperature and stronger corrosive environment, and continue to promote the pace of human exploration of the unknown, breakthrough limits.
