1. Principle of equal-diameter welding titanium tee automatic welding machine:

The welded titanium tee is made by welding the main and the branch pipe. A hole equal to the inner diameter of the branch pipe is opened on the main pipe. A saddle-shaped gas-cutting machine cuts a saddle-shaped groove on the branch pipe and the end where it connects to the main pipe. The welding adopts flux-cored wire CO and gas-shielded welding. The welding gun is kept relative and only swings the angle. First, the tee branch pipe and the main pipe are spot-welded together, and the tee is fixed with a chuck and a drag chuck. By adjusting the deployment device, the tee can perform circular and linear motions at the same time, walk out of the saddle curve, and the welding groove is welded by the welding gun.

2. Operation process of equal-diameter welding tee:

1) Welding position:

When at the shoulder, the welding gun and the header cylinder are 45°. With different positions, the angle between the welding gun and the weld surface varies between 70° and 90°.

2) Welding operation technology:

According to the characteristics of equal-diameter welding titanium tees, the shoulder groove is small, the filler metal is small, the belly groove is large, and the filler metal is large. To make the filling amount of weld metal in each layer of groove uniform and keep the thickness of the shoulder and belly welds consistent, attention should be paid to appropriately increasing the number of weld layers or the swing amplitude of the belly weld during welding. During welding, the length of repeated welds can be adjusted at any time according to the situation of the belly weld. In addition, attention should also be paid to the smooth transition between the welds (passes) on the outer edge of the groove to maintain the outer edge shape of the welded titanium tee.

Cover plate welding is divided into two layers. One layer is used for local repair welding of saddle groove welds to make the welds uniform, round, and consistent, laying the foundation for covering welding; the second layer is welded with the forming cover. During welding, the welding wire swings horizontally to keep the weld bead parallel to the horizontal plane to prevent the generation of welds. As the welding process proceeds, the angle between the weld bead and the center line of the pipe joint changes continuously, and a triangular empty welding area is formed when welding to the lower point of the belly (the intersection of the welds on both sides). When welding the empty welding area of the triangle, the swing range of the welding gun should not be too large, and the arc should not be larger than the weld bead to keep the joint uniform and beautiful.

The above welding process is simple to design and manufacture, convenient to maintain, simple and flexible to operate, does not require tooling and molds, has a short manufacturing cycle, occupies a small area, is inexpensive, can meet the manufacturing requirements of equal diameter welding titanium tees, and solves the problem of low efficiency of manual welding.
