Manufacturing method
The roundness of titanium reducers should not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3mm. The reducer (larger and smaller head) is a kind of pipe fitting used for pipe diameter change. The commonly used forming process is reduction pressing, expansion pressing or reduction plus expansion pressing. For some specifications of reducers, stamping can also be used.
Reduction/expansion forming
The reduction forming process of the reducer is to put a tube blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into the forming die, and press along the axial direction of the tube blank to make the metal move along the die cavity and shrink to form. According to the size of the diameter change of the reducer, it is divided into one-time pressing forming or multiple pressing forming. As shown in the "Diameter Reduction Forming Schematic Diagram of Concentric Reducers", the expansion forming is to use a tube blank with a diameter smaller than the large end of the reducer, and use an internal punch die to expand the inner diameter of the tube blank. The expansion process mainly solves the situation that the reducer with a large diameter change is not easy to form through the reduction. Sometimes, according to the material and product forming needs, the expansion and reduction methods are combined. In the process of reducing or expanding the diameter, cold pressing or hot pressing is determined according to different materials and diameter changes. Under normal circumstances, cold pressing is used as much as possible, but hot pressing is suitable for the case of severe work hardening caused by multiple diameter changes, the case of thick wall thickness or alloy steel materials.
Stamping forming
In addition to using steel pipes as raw materials to produce reducers, some specifications of reducers can also be produced using steel plates using stamping forming technology. The shape of the die used for stretching is designed with reference to the inner surface size of the titanium reducer, and the steel plate after cutting is stamped and stretched by the die.
