High Quality Titanium Tube ASTM B338 Titanium Pipes
Standard: ASTM B338 B337 B861 B862
Model Number: Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4 Gr5
Material: Titanium
Outer Diameter: Customized on demand
Length: ≤12000
Titanium tube has high strength, its tensile strength is 686-1176MPA, and its density is only about 60% of steel, so its specific strength is very high. High-Quality Titanium Tube ASTM B338 Titanium Pipes have the advantage of higher hardness. The hardness HRC of titanium alloy (annealed state) is 32-38. Uncoated titanium tubes also have strong corrosion resistance. In the air below 550°C, a thin and dense titanium oxide film will quickly form on the surface of titanium. Therefore, its corrosion resistance is better than that of most stainless steel in oxidizing media such as atmosphere, seawater, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, and strong alkali.

Manufacturing Process:
High-Quality Titanium Tube ASTM B338 Titanium Pipes shall be made from hollow billet by any cold reducing or cold drawing process that will yield a product meeting the requirements prescribed.
The welded tube shall be made from flat-rolled product by an automatic arc-welding process. The welded tube shall be sufficiently cold worked to final size in order to transform the cast weld microstructure into a typical equiaxed microstructure in the weld upon subsequent heat treatment.
NDT/Ultrasonic Test
The welded tube shall be subjected to a reverse flattening test in accordance with supplement II of test methods and definitions A 370. Welded tubing shall be tested using both NDT test and ultrasonic test method.
Seamless and welded/cold worked tubing shall be tested using an ultrasonic test method.
Hydrostatic Test
Welded tubing shall be tested with a hydrostatic or pneumatic test method.
High-Quality Titanium Tube ASTM B338 Titanium Pipes shall be tested with an electromagnetic or hydrostatic or pneumatic test method.
